In the fields of bioprocess engineering, tissue engineering and pharmacological research, materials with tailor-made properties form the basis for the production of high-quality products, and allow at the same time efficient process management. These can be the material itself, cells expanded with the material, or model systems of stem cells in combination with innovative materials. In close collaboration with the working groups of the Fraunhofer ISC, material and analysis expertise is used to develop stem cell-optimized, in-vitro material solutions. On the basis of their material science and biological expertise, scientists at the project center develop customer-specific product ideas or solution strategies. With the aid of state-of-the-art analysis and characterization methods, the customer is accompanied from the planning and simulation stage right up to characterization and prototype production.
